Unemployment Pays
Dear Dr. Moral,
I am currently unemployed and looking for work. The problem is,
I like being unemployed. I spend the majority of my day sleeping,
usually 12-14 hours per day. Then, I get up and watch T.V. until
I fall asleep again. Is there anything that I can do to still make
money, but not really work?
Lazy in Lincoln
Dear Lazy in Lincoln,
Though this isn't a medical question, I feel that I can be of some
service to help you resolve your dilemma. Getting plenty of sleep
at night is very important to our bodies, so your twelve to fourteen
hours of sleep per night should not be compromised.
The problem that you are facing is that you have no flow of income,
otherwise it sounds like the rest of your life is heaven. Here's
a simple solution that I have found works great. First, pretend
you hold an advanced degree, such as a doctorate. Then, give crappy
advice.
The secret here is to package the advice into something that others
will read without hesitation. Human curiosity is amazing, and causes
people to read anything. Then, sell these articles to an unsuspecting
entertainment website that believes people will be willing to read
these articles to be entertained. You will then be able to reap
the profits with little to no work.
I hope that this has helped you Lazy in Lincoln. Keep up the laziness
and remember, it's only lying if you get caught.
